ABViewer 12.1 released

Enhanced DWG/DXF to G-code conversion, improved PDF to DWG converter

We are glad to present you ABViewer 12.1, a new minor version of a multifunctional program for work with DWG, DXF and other CAD files as well as 3D models.

The latest version of ABViewer includes the following list of improvements:

• new and more convenient G-code generation interface with extended features
• PDF to DWG conversion improved
• 3D import optimized

Today we would like to go into detail on improvements carried out in DWG/DXF to G-code conversion.

Some time ago we added the possibility to save drawings to the .nc file format for its further processing in CNC machines. This year we have completely revised this functionality and now ABViewer has a full-functional DWG/DXF to G-code converter.

The main window of our CAD to G-code converter includes different options allowing you to control tool movement as well as select contours for conversion. The drawing is displayed in the interactive preview pane that shows changes of the tool properties.

Before conversion you can configure the required settings in the updated G-code settings window. E.g. you can select machine type, adjust specific settings, add tools etc.

When the drawing is converted, G-code becomes available in the preview pane too. After it you can save this code as .nc.
